Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood funds incubator programs for infants and youth

Hospitals, universities and museums are among eligible recipients.

Letters of Inquiry for one-year grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 are being accepted through January 31, 2022, for research and development projects that improve the welfare of children from infancy through 7 years.

The Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood provides seed money to implement imaginative proposals that improve the lives of young children on a national scale in the categories of early childhood welfare, early childhood education and play, and parenting education. Eligible projects can address childcare, physical and mental health, safety, nutrition, education, play, familial support, acculturation and societal integration.

Nonprofit awardees must demonstrate that a successful project outcome will likely be of significant interest to other professionals within the grantee’s field of endeavor, as well as have a direct benefit and potential national application.

Letters of Intent may be submitted through the end of this month. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application. Complete program guidelines and application procedures are available online.
