Field of Interest funding cycle closes soon

Written by Mindia Whittier

Organizations selected to submit a full grant application will be notified in late February.

The Dallas Foundation is currently accepting Letters of Inquiry for its 2022 Field of Interest Funding Cycle.

Nonprofits have until Feb. 4, 2022 to submit an initial query.

Field of Interest Funds are endowed funds that can be customized to align with a donor’s interest in a specific cause. They are then entrusted to the Foundation to award grants that both meet the purpose of the fund and make an impact in the community.

A range of issues are covered by Field of Interest Funds, including the arts, critical needs, low-income clients, and animal welfare. The list of funds that are currently accepting grant applications can be viewed online.

All nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for a Field of Interest grant regardless of when they last received a grant from the Foundation. To submit a Letter of Inquiry, nonprofits should visit the Foundation’s new online grantmaking portal.
