My Possibilities to Develop Inclusive Community for Adults with Cognitive Disabilities

Dallas News reported on January 11 that My Possibilities, based in Plano, has announced plans to purchase a former Garland golf course to develop a new residential community focused on adults with cognitive disabilities, which includes everything from autism and Down syndrome to traumatic brain injuries and dementia.

The 178-acre Eastern Hills Country Club will be transformed into a neighborhood of 300 homes, 100 of which would go to My Possibilities’ clients who have special housing needs.

The 10-year-old nonprofit already operates a facility near Bush Turnpike and Coit Road in Plano.
