Johnson County Crime Stoppers selected for fundraiser

Johnson County Crime Stoppers (JCCS) was recently selected from more than 2,128 charitable organizations across the country to compete in the 2018 Brackets For Good fundraiser. Indianapolis-based Brackets For Good pairs with corporate and nonprofit sponsors to host online bracket-style fundraising tournaments in philanthropic communities around the United States.

JCCS President Bill Sanders told the Cleburne Times Review that Brackets For Good encourages involvement and participation in charitable giving at any level.

“The tournament is a great opportunity to learn about the work all of the participating nonprofits are doing to make their communities stronger,” he said. “By participating, Johnson County Crime Stoppers will be able to take advantage of the increased exposure received during the tournament.

The mission of Johnson County Crime Stoppers, Inc. is to carry out a community offensive against crime through law enforcement, citizen involvement and the media; encouraging all citizens to report anonymous information about criminal activity; and offering rewards for information that helps law enforcement solve unsolved crimes. The goal of Crime Stoppers is to bring the perpetrator of a crime into the Criminal Justice System by using the combined resources of citizens, media, and law enforcement.
