Two executives named at Girls Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains

Girls Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains announced that Dawud Mabon, CPA has been named Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer and Matt Sutton Chief Administrative Officer.

Mabon is a CPA and previously served the organization as Controller since 2022. In his new role, Mabon will provide both strategic and operational oversight to the stewardship of council assets, cash management, internal and external financial reporting, risk management, strategic oversight, improvement of operational performance, and is responsible for the financial health of the organization.

Sutton has previously served the organization as Director of IT and will provide leadership and oversight to the administrative functions of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains, including but not limited to facilities and property management, information technology, information systems, data integrity, research and evaluation, and risk management.

CEO Becky Burton says, “I am thrilled to welcome Dawud and Matt to our Executive Leadership Team. With their experience and insight in the non-profit field, they bring a unique perspective to complement our team.”

As members of the Executive Leadership Team, Mabon and Sutton provide leadership on council vision, strategies, long and short-term goals, priorities, resource allocation and partners with colleagues on development, updates, and implementation of policies.
