Goodwill to open new Arlington retail location

Goodwill North Central Texas announced that the organization has leased a location in southwest Arlington to open a new retail store and donation center. The new store will occupy approximately 17,000 sq. ft. of retail space at 4400 Little Road, Suite 105 in Arlington.

“Every Goodwill store plays a crucial role in funding our mission, turning donations and purchases into life-changing opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment,” said David Cox, president and CEO of Goodwill North Central Texas. “With each new retail location, we’re able to serve more people in need, providing free job training, education, and employment services that empower individuals to achieve economic independence. This new store allows us to grow our impact, and we’re grateful for the community’s support in making that possible.”

The new store is expected to create 35–40 jobs, boosting the local economy. A hiring event with on-the-spot hiring, will be held on-site Tuesday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for positions including assistant manager, keyholders, and part-time and full-time roles in retail sales, production, and donation intake. Starting pay is $14.25 per hour, with employee discounts and benefits available. Applicants must be 16 or older. Learn more and apply at www.GoodwillNorthCentralTexas.org/jobs.

Construction on the remodel has already begun, with the store expected to open to the public in mid-June. Premier One Renovating has been selected as the general contractor for the project.

Details for the grand opening event, where shoppers can expect special promotions and a chance to meet the team, will be announced on social media later this year.
