Catholic Charities of Fort Worth Pilots “Benefits Cliff” Project

KERA News reports that Catholic Charities of Fort Worth is addressing the “benefits cliff” facing many of their clients. Some workers turn down higher-paying jobs because the extra salary would disqualify them from public assistance.

Catholic Charities of Fort Worth will test two control groups to see if a gradual decrease in benefits combined with intensive case management would help their clients succeed longer. Along with two treatment groups, there would be a third control group which would continue as normal. publishes every week.
