New Tulip Farm in Waxahachie Supports Individuals with Disabilities

KCENTV reports Poston Gardens has opened in Waxahachie and is home to more than one million tulips. John Poston, the owner of Poston Gardens, developed the farm to support the nearby Daymark Living, which is a resort-style community that teaches people with intellectual and development disabilities to live more independently.

Residents of Daymark Living include individuals with autism, Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. A portion of the proceeds from the tulip sales goes directly to Daymark Living. Residents are also contributing by working in the gardens.

Poston Gardens will be open through April or as long as the tulips remain.
