Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County to host rummage sale May 3-5

Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County (UGM-TC) will host a rummage sale On May 3 & 4 from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm and May 5 from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm at Will Rogers Memorial Center, Cattle Barn 2. This is the agency’s annual sale to clean out its donation warehouse of the non-necessities to make room for new donations.

Each month, UGM-TC is able to set up nearly 30 households for the individuals and families it serves who are moving into their own home.  These “move out packages,” contain essential items to establish a home such as pots and pans, dishes, cleaning supplies, and furniture. The rummage sale will offer items that have not been used during the past year.

100% of the proceeds of this sale will go to the operation of the programs of Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County which serves men, women, children and families. As a result, there are no discounts or early shopping for this sale. All prices are firm and will not be reduced over the course of the three days. All sales are final and are “cash and carry” meaning items will not be held for future pick-ups or held for future purchase and delivery service will not be available.

The organization will accept cash, credit cards and debit cards but will not accept personal checks. The need to adhere to these practices are necessary in order to minimize as much overhead as possible and to create a fair shopping experience for all.
