Stage West Theater Focuses on Environment Efforts

Green Source DFW reports that Stage West Theater, located in Fort Worth, has been focusing on increasing their environmentally-friendly efforts.

Executive Director Dana Schultes has been with the theater since 2004 and has been encouraging green-friendly methods such as replacing disposable dinnerware with ceramic dishes and silverware. The theater’s production shop reuses materials when it can and is careful to properly dispose of paint and metal.

The theater installed a self-serve water dispenser to eliminate plastic water bottles. The staff takes home their recycling and is testing out paperless scripts. Schultes hopes to install solar panels in the future to power the theater.
