SPCA of Texas announces 2026 officers and new board members

The SPCA of Texas announced its 2026 Board Chair, Executive Committee and four new board members, each of whom will help support the SPCA of Texas’ mission to create a brighter future for animals, people, and the community in 2026.

“We have a remarkable board of directors going into 2026, all of whom are dedicated to moving the SPCA of Texas forward to provide more assistance to vulnerable animals and to members of the communities we serve,” said SPCA of Texas President & CEO Chris Luna, JD. “Their compassion, commitment, and their immense expertise will grow our impact in new and exciting ways.”

Whitney Eichinger, Senior Vice President & Chief Communications Officer, Southwest Airlines Co., remains as SPCA of Texas Board Chair. Dr. Courtney Nall, Director of Field Leadership, Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc., serves as Chair Elect. Maureen Short, CFO and Financial Strategist, serves as Vice Chair. Jonathan Kelly, Senior Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Bank of America Private Bank, remains as Secretary. William “Bill” Driscoll, CPA, Owner, William B. Driscoll, CPA, remains as Treasurer. SPCA of Texas President & CEO Chris Luna, JD is an Ex-Officio member.

The new SPCA of Texas Board Members are:

  • Eric Broughton, Sales Executive
  • Erin Flugstad, Partner, Technical Accounting and Texas Metro Leader, Connor Group
  • David McCann, Director of Marketing Communications, Haynes Boone
  • Jacki Winges, Community Leader

“2026 is an important year for the SPCA of Texas,” said Board Chair Whitney Eichinger. “We are implementing our new mission statement and building the capacity to serve even more animals and people in need throughout North Texas. I am excited to continue serving as Chair of this remarkable Board.”

Founded in 1938, the SPCA of Texas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organization that operates one shelter, one spay/neuter clinic, one mobile adoptions vehicle and an animal rescue center, all located in Dallas County. The organization maintains a team of animal cruelty investigators who rescue hundreds of animals from cruel situations each year in North Texas counties. The SPCA of Texas also serves as an active resource center for services that bring people and animals together to enrich each other’s lives.
