Parkland Foundation Announces New CEO & President

My Sweet Charity reports that the Parkland Foundation, located in Dallas, has named Michael Horne, EdD, as their new CEO & President.

Previously, Dr. Horne served as superintendent of the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP). He received his Doctor of Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, his master’s in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, as well as his master’s in education policy and Management and his Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Amherst College.

The Parkland Foundation supports the Parkland Health & Hospital System which serves as the public health system for Dallas County.

Dr. Michael Horne will take over from retiring CEO David Krause on August 5.
