Nexus Family Recovery Center expands its services

Written by DFW501c Reporter

Nexus Family Recovery Center, a Dallas-based organization dedicated to helping women and families overcome substance use disorder (SUD), has announced the expansion of services to private insurance clients seeking treatment for SUD. Nexus has a long-standing history of serving those without insurance; the expansion broadens access for women with private insurance, those who self-pay, and those who are unable to pay for treatment.

For those seeking treatment, access to care may often be limited to those without insurance, those with Medicaid restrictions, and those whose insurance may only support a single treatment or a capped duration of care. Nexus is stepping in to fill this treatment gap by expanding services to include private insurance clients and will now accept most major insurance carriers, making programs accessible to more families with private pay. Patients seeking treatment in a women-only facility have access to a state-of-the-art detox facility completed in 2025, as well as a robust suite of inpatient and outpatient options.

“Our mission has always been to provide compassionate, life-changing care to women and families seeking recovery,” said Nexus CEO Heather Ormand. “By expanding our services to include private insurance clients, we’re ensuring more women have access to the specialized treatment they need while also creating a sustainable path forward. This decision strengthens our ability to continue serving as a trusted resource for those on their journey to recovery.”

Nexus is dedicated to serving all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and is firmly committed to ensuring that serving those who cannot pay remains Nexus’ focus. Private insurance clients will have access to select programs such as medical services, mental health counseling, medication-assisted treatment, inpatient and outpatient services.

“With the recent removal and reversal of federal funding for substance use treatment services highlighted for many providers, is that the support we once viewed as stable can change overnight,” said Nexus Partner,  Noelle Delgado, the Executive Director of the Association of Substance Abuse Programs. “As an industry, substance use disorder providers have to prepare for that reality by diversifying how care is funded, so we can continue serving people even in periods of uncertainty.”

Those in need of high-quality, compassionate treatment for substance use disorder are encouraged to contact the Nexus admission team at 214-321-0156 ext. 3118 or email help@nexusrecovery.org.
