Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program

  • Funder: Department of Agriculture
  • Expected number of awards: 20
  • Cost sharing required? Yes
  • Closing date: June 30, 2026
  • Award range: up to $100,000
  • Eligible applicants: Nonprofits, Indian Tribes, and institutions of higher education.
  • Summary: Funding supports loans and grants to Microenterprise Development Organizations (MDOs) to provide training and technical assistance to microloan borrowers and micro entrepreneurs.

Awards for Faculty at HBCUs

  • Funder: National Endowment for the Humanities
  • Expected number of awards: 5
  • Cost sharing required? No
  • Closing date: April 22, 2026
  • Award range: up to $60,000
  • Eligibility: Individuals
  • Summary: NEH Awards for Faculty are grants to individual faculty members at HBCUs pursuing projects that embody exceptional humanistic research, rigorous analysis, and clear writing. Applications must clearly articulate a project’s value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. These awards provide recipients with time to write, to travel, and to conduct research and other project-related activities. Projects are eligible at any stage.
