New Horizons of North Texas named as beneficiary of TrainUp.com

In a press release on Nov. 21 New Horizons of North Texas announced that they will be partnering with TrainUp, the web’s largest career training marketplace, listing training courses in over 150 categories including business skills, leadership, information technology, finance, and human resources. TrainUp.com went on to say that they will be donating a portion of every course registration to benefit the students of New Horizons of North Texas; an initiative that is very close to their CEO Jeremy Tillman’s heart,

“Last year, I had a chance to speak to the students at one of the local schools where New Horizons serves, and I couldn’t help but think of how much they reminded me of myself and my story. Not that long ago I was right where many of these kids were, dealing with some of the same issues. Issues of poverty, substance abuse in my family and community, and being raised in a single parent home. What made the difference in my life and those of my brothers and sisters, all of whom went on to attend college, was the support of my mother, the community, and after school programs just like this one. Their values and program align 100% with our vision to empower growth and shape the future of learning.”
