In a Facebook post, Miles of Freedom announced it had received funding from both the Hoblitzelle Foundation and Sapphire Foundation. The funding will provide an opportunity for the organization to purchase a new passenger van to transport its clients.
The statement reads in full:
“We are excited to share the news that Miles of Freedom has been recently approved for grant funding from the Hoblitzelle Foundation and Sapphire Foundation.
Funds will be used for the purchase of a new passenger van! The Miles of Freedom shuttle service transports family members to visit their loved ones that are incarcerated. This important service helps to keep families connected.
We are grateful for your support! Thank you for supporting the journey!”
