ConocoPhillips SPIRIT of Conservation announces 2021 Request for Proposals

The ConocoPhillips SPIRIT of Conservation Program is soliciting funding proposals to restore grassland, wetland, sage-steppe, and coastal habitats for birds; protect key habitats for birds; and to conduct identified priority avian research or monitoring, with an emphasis in focal geographies. The program will award approximately $1.3 million in grants in 2021. Details about this funding opportunity are provided in the Request for Proposals. The submission deadline for pre-proposals is May 27, 2021.

In 2021, grant funding will be awarded in three priority program areas:

  • Restore or improve grassland, sagebrush, wetland, and coastal habitats for birds
  • Protect key habitats for birds
  • Implement innovative bird data gathering techniques or technologies

Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and federal, state, tribal and local governments.
