City Report Shows Tarrant County Homeless Numbers Increasing

The Fort Worth Business Press reports on homeless trends for Tarrant and Parker Counties from the City of Fort Worth’s Directions Home plan. While the long-term numbers show homeless is decreasing, there is a one percent increase in overall homelessness in Tarrant and Parker Counties.

The largest increase has been in the unsheltered population in both Tarrant and Parker Counties.

The Fort Worth City Council has approved additional funding to Presbyterian Night Shelter, located in Fort Worth, for their Rapid Exit program and employment services.
