Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County takes to the streets to reach more youth

In May, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County launched the Mobile Clubhouse Experience in order to reach youth unable to access their brick-and-mortar clubs.

The organization will utilize a new fleet of vehicles, including an RV that serves as a Club on Wheels, to deliver some of the same programming offered at its 13 Tarrant County locations. Healthy Habits, Mobile STEM Lab and Robotics, SMART Moves, Money Matters and meal/snack service will contribute to the Mobile mission of “Every kid eats. Every kid learns. Every kid thrives.”

Albertsons Tom Thumb, Truist Foundation, the Sid W. Richardson Foundation and an anonymous donor made capital contributions to get the project rolling.
