Mommies in Need Provides Daycare to Patients Receiving Treatment
KERA News reports that Dallas-based Mommies in Need along with Parkland Hospital offers daycare to patients receiving chemotherapy and other treatments.
The organization hopes to expand services beyond Parkland Hospital to allow more patients to receive treatments as needed.

Parkland Hospital Working with Dallas First Responders
The Dallas Observer reports that Parkland Hospital is working with Dallas police and fire departments to better respond to 911 crisis calls involving mental health issues.
Parkland Hospital has placed a social worker at the dispatch center to help determine calls needing additional support. A special team with a mental health professional is sent to the call.
The program has targeted the South-Central Dallas area.

Dallas County and Parkland Planning New Health Clinic in Former Red Bird Mall
The Dallas News reports that Parkland Hospital System and Dallas County leaders are planning a comprehensive primary-care clinic in the former Red Bird Mall property.
The plans will need approval from the Dallas County Commissioners and Parkland’s Board of Managers. The 40,000 square foot clinic is expected to open in 2020 in space formerly occupied by Dillard’s.
