Women in Power Empowering welcomes applications for funding

The award supports women-owned businesses in operation for at least one year.

Women In Power Empowering, a philanthropic group of African-American women creating opportunities for other women, is accepting applications for its annual Business Empowerment Award.

The mission of Women in Power Empowering is to help women overcome obstacles by providing financial awards, mentoring, and support. The Business Empowerment Award was established to assist women business owners and nonprofit founders with growing their small business or organization.

Tarrant County women-owned, small businesses can apply for the award of $1,000 until September 30. Eligible organizations must have annual operating expenses not exceeding $100,000 and be a registered entity with the Texas Secretary of State at least 1 year prior to September of the award year.

Awards will be announced in mid-October. Applications can be submitted online.
