UTA giving event sets fundraising record

The campaign included giving challenges and time-sensitive donor matches to make contributions go further.

The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) achieved record-breaking donations with its annual MavsDay giving event in April.

MavsDay is The University of Texas at Arlington’s annual, university-wide day of giving. For 24 hours, members of the UTA community – including alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends – are encouraged to support the departments, programs, and initiatives that are meaningful to them.

For 2022, the event was held from 12 a.m. April 21 through 12 a.m. April 22. It raised $883,882, breaking the previous MavsDay record. The gifts will directly impact the lives of students, helping them to achieve their academic dreams.

Participants could designate gifts to fund specific projects, units, colleges, schools or scholarships at UTA.
