United Way of Tarrant County (UWTC) announced that Eric Marin has joined the organization as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Marin comes to UWTC with more than 25 years of finance and operational expertise, including the last 15 years within or consulting for the nonprofit sector. He joins UWTC from an Austin-based nonprofit where he served as Chief Financial Officer. Marin brings an extensive background in investment strategy, financial oversight and leadership.
“Eric Marin brings with him deep financial experience and strategic vision,” said Leah M. King, UWTC’s President and CEO. “We deeply value his personal and professional experiences and look forward to his commitment to stewarding the financial health of our organization.”
In addition to his work in the nonprofit sector, Marin ran several successful businesses in the healthcare and consulting sectors and was a Partner for Accenture where he consulted for large-scale organizations throughout Texas before settling in Tarrant County.
“I have always been impressed with the United Way and the immense impact they make on the communities they serve,” said Marin. “I am grateful for the opportunity to join the organization and do my part to advance change and exemplify excellence.”
In addition to his diverse professional career, Marin has held several board positions at educational and nonprofit organizations. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University as well as the Treasurer for CMD-IT, a nonprofit focused on brining technology experiences to women and minorities.
Marin holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Houston and a Bachelor of Computer Science from Texas A&M University.
