United Way of Tarrant County’s Leah King Selected for Worldwide Leadership Program

United Way of Tarrant County has shared that Leah King, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for United Way of Tarrant County, has been selected to participate in United Way Worldwide’s Advanced Leadership Program. The Advanced Leadership program is an accelerated year-long leadership development experience designed for senior-level professionals that have demonstrated results and capacity to lead United Way.

“United Way of Tarrant County is proud Leah was chosen to be a member of the next class of the Advanced Leadership Program,” said TD Smyers, President and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County. “She is a valuable member of our team and will help lead us as we engage with the next generation of donors and carry our mission to provide leadership and harness resources to solve Tarrant County’s toughest social challenges.”

Selection for the Advanced Leadership Program is based on performance, potential and core competencies. Applications for the program come from the worldwide network of 12,850 people and are open to those working across all departments and groups. This program is available to 18 applicants each year.

The 2019 Advanced Leadership Program runs through October 2019 and requires participants to take part in a series of in-depth learning events.
