Written by FWD501cReporter

The Dallas News reports that nearly half of Dallas households struggle to pay their bills. According to the United Way of Texas, more than 40 percent of Texas families and over half of the households in Dallas, cannot afford basic needs.

The United Way published their ALICE report which provides data on working households where people are employed but are struggling financially. ALICE stands for “asset limited, income constrained, employed.”

The data from this report shows more people are barely making ends meet than previously calculated.
