The Dallas Foundation celebrates NTX Giving Day with $250k in prizes

The Foundation has cumulatively paid $80M in grants over its lifetime.

The Dallas Foundation in partnership with Lyda Hill Philanthropies gave away over $250,000 on September 22 as part of a NTX Giving Day celebration.

The funds were distributed at the Foundation’s Pegasus Park offices to nonprofit organizations in the building. The following organizations were randomly drawn to receive the prizes:

$30,000 – The Commit Partnership

$20,000 – Aspire (USA)

$20,000 – City Year

$10,000 – Lone Star Justice Alliance

The Foundation also conducted voting in the building and awarded the following organizations:

$5,000 – ChildCareGroup

$5,000 – The Nature Conservancy

NTX Giving Day is a project of Communities Foundation of Texas. The 18-hour online giving event is designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about in one platform. The event also helps build awareness and support for nonprofits.

In 2022, $62.6 million was raised through 94,385 donors benefiting 3,210 local nonprofits, bringing the thirteen-year total to over $503 million. NTX Giving Day is the largest community-wide giving event in the nation.
