The Dallas Foundation and Communities Foundation of Texas announce common Racial Equity grant application – open now

The Dallas Foundation (TDF) and Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) are excited to announce our partnership to launch a common equity grant application for nonprofits focused on accelerating equity in communities that have been historically and systematically disenfranchised. Specifically, the two foundations seek to partner with organizations whose work is rooted in equity, community building, and programming delivered with a culturally responsive lens.

The common equity grant application period will be open until 5 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024.

The Dallas Foundation’s Racial Equity Fund was established to help advance equity for Dallas’ BIPOC residents by strategically and purposefully directing philanthropic dollars to support nonprofit organizations that combat systemic inequities. Grants from The Dallas Foundation will be awarded to nonprofit organizations working in Dallas County within the areas of:

  • Housing and neighborhood infrastructure
  • Economic empowerment
  • Workforce development
  • Education
  • Criminal justice
  • Civic participation
  • Health

Grant sizes will range between $25,000 and $100,000. Multi-year funding requests are not being considered. Only one application per organization is allowed.  Final grant decisions will be announced in late March 2024.
