Texas Women’s Foundation seeks nominations for leadership awards

Winners will be recognized during the Leadership Forum and Awards Celebration at Omni Dallas Hotel on April 27, 2023.

Texas Women’s Foundation invites nominations for its Maura Women Helping Women award and Young Leader Award to recognize female leaders who are working to advance the lives of women and girls.

Texas Women’s Foundation is a leading community-supported foundation that invests in the power of women and girls to drive positive change. Through research, advocacy, programs and grantmaking, the Foundation has advanced economic and leadership opportunities for women, girls and families to build stronger, more equitable communities for 35 years.

The Maura Women Helping Women Award recognizes those who have led the way in improving lives for women and girls in Texas. Eligible candidates have utilized their role in leadership to advance opportunities that serve the unique needs of women and girls. Candidates must have spent an extended period of time in service helping women and girls, and be former or current Texas resident. The award is for women 40 years of age and over.

The Young Leader Award recognizes breakthrough leadership exhibited by a Texan. Nominees have achieved success in a field, initiative or sector, and have created a path of opportunity for others to follow. Former or current Texas resident between the ages of 18 and 39 are eligible for consideration.

Applications must include the nominee’s bio or curriculum vitae, can be submitted online, and are due Oct. 31.
