  • Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation announces Legacy grant opportunity

    In recognition of the Texas Rangers 50th anniversary in 2022, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has announced a major grant program that will provide half a million dollars for nonprofit organizations in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

    The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, says the new Texas Rangers Legacy Grant Program will donate five grants of $100,000 each to nonprofits focused on improving and supporting their community. These will be the largest individual grants ever distributed by the Rangers Foundation.

    “As we celebrate the 50-year legacy of the Texas Rangers in Arlington, we are honored to introduce the Legacy Grant Program, which will fund five impactful projects across our viewing territory,” said Neil Leibman, Texas Rangers president, business operations and chief operating officer, and Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Chairman. “It is our hope that funding these life-changing projects will leave a lasting effect on our communities, creating a new legacy to be felt for years to come.”

    The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation will award grants to organizations that share a similar mission to improve the lives of those in the community, especially children, military, first responders and their families, through innovative programming and partnerships that focus on education, health and athletics.

    Since its inception in 1991, the Foundation has invested more than $50 million in the community. It provides funding for children, the military, first responders and their families, educational, health, and athletic programming and partnerships.

    Organizations may submit letters of interest now through April 30. Formal requests for proposals will be sent to selected organizations by May 30. Proposals must be submitted by June 30 and grant recipients will be notified by August 30.

  • Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation Event Raises Record Amount

    The 2019 Park Place Dealerships – Texas Rangers Triple Play Game Show Spectacular was held recently in Dallas and the annual event featured Texas Rangers players, coaches, broadcasters, and alumni.

    “The Park Place Dealerships – Texas Rangers Triple Play has always been our largest fundraising event and this year’s total made a record $770,000,” said Karin Morris, executive director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. “The funds raised at this event directly impact our programming and partnerships. Since last year’s event, we have welcomed more than 25,000 kids to the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy at Mercy Street Sports Complex, presented by Toyota.”

    Since its inception in 1991, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has invested more than $30 million in our community to help children through support of programs including the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy at Mercy Street Sports Complex, presented by Toyota; youth fitness and wellness programs like the just keep livin programs; scholarships and summer programming for children in challenging circumstances.
