  • M. Gale announces leadership transition

    M. Gale, a trusted partner to nonprofits across Texas, the Southwest, and the U.S., announced a strategic leadership transition. Founder and longtime President Missy Gale has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, appointing company veteran Laura Hutyra as president of the firm. Gale, who launched M. Gale in 2009, has led the firm for 16 years. The leadership shift comes after years of thoughtful succession planning, designed to ensure M. Gale’s continued growth and commitment to its nonprofit partners.

    “Laura is passionate about the work of our nonprofit partners and our M. Gale team of talented professionals who are dedicated to the success of every client we serve,” said Missy Gale, CEO of M. Gale. “She has worked in every facet of our business—from leading our consulting team to overseeing business development, administration, and finance. Her leadership and counsel have guided clients through major campaigns, fundraising strategies, and nonprofit management. I am confident that under Laura’s leadership, M. Gale will continue to grow and serve the nonprofit sector with distinction.”

    As president, Hutyra will oversee day-to-day operations and continue M. Gale’s work in supporting nonprofit organizations. Gale, in her new role as CEO, will focus on strategic client engagement, vision-setting and business development.

    Hutyra brings 20 years of nonprofit and fundraising experience to the role, including 11 years under Gale’s leadership at M. Gale. Previously vice president, she led teams through collaborative projects and significant firm growth. Prior to joining M. Gale in 2014, Hutyra held development positions at All Saints’ Episcopal School of Fort Worth, Hill School, and the Fort Worth Zoo, with a focus on capital campaigns.

  • Marc Mitrano joins M. Gale & Associates

    Marc Mitrano, a 15-year veteran of the nonprofit sector, has joined the North Texas-based M. Gale & Associates as a consultant. M. Gale & Assoc is a fundraising consulting firm with 14 years of experience collaborating with mission-driven nonprofit organizations in North Texas and the Southwest. 

    As Consultant for M. Gale, Marc will be working with nonprofit clients in areas related to M. Gale’s service lines, which include campaign services, fundraising tools, and nonprofit management.  “We are very pleased to have Marc on board as a consultant,” says Karen Perry, Director of Consulting Services. “Marc brings to the table extensive knowledge in education and healthcare. He is an excellent addition to our team”.  

    Marc’s fundraising experience includes positions with nationally ranked children’s hospitals, a Big 12 university, and international development work as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Along the way, Marc honed his skills in grassroots fundraising, event-based fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising, grant writing and management, corporate partnerships, and major gifts. With a passion for building authentic relationships, Marc truly enjoys helping others achieve their philanthropic goals.   

    Prior to joining the M. Gale team, Marc was the Director of Development for the College of Education at TCU, responsible for securing major gifts to support scholarships, faculty, and programs. Marc worked closely with the dean to ensure donor passion was aligned with the college’s needs and priorities resulting in increased donor engagement and overall satisfaction.  

    Before moving to Fort Worth, TX, Marc worked for Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. as a member of the corporate partnerships team. While there, Marc helped launch the inaugural ‘Race for Every Child in addition to securing much needed unrestricted revenue for the hospital. Marc learned the ins and outs of fundraising while working for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He crisscrossed the Carolinas working with universities, radio partners, corporate partners, and anyone else who wanted to support the families of St. Jude.   

    Marc has a degree in Anthropology from the University of Georgia and a Master of Liberal Arts from Texas Christian University. Marc served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic where he worked on bringing clean burning stoves to local communities. It was his time in the Peace Corps that launched Marc’s career into the non-profit sector.    

  • M. Gale & Associates hires Manager of Business Development

    M. Gale & Associates has welcomed a new Manager of Business Development.

    Christina Judge, MA, CFRE joins the firm with more than 30 years of experience in the nonprofit industry. Her background includes executive leadership, program management, fund development, and marketing and communications.

    Judge has worked in various capacities ranging from the United States Army, higher education, child welfare, healthcare, and mental health. Before joining M. Gale & Associates, she was the Executive Director of The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation, a North Texas nonprofit focused on suicide prevention training and education.

    Previously the Foundation Manager for All Saints Health Foundation, Judge also served as Major Gift and Planned Giving Officer for Tarrant County College Foundation. Her professional background also includes Director of Development for both CASA of Tarrant County, and First Command Educational Foundation.

    Judge holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a Master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University.
