Raising the Bridge to Build Youth Center for Homeless Youth in Mesquite

CBS 11 reports how Raising the Bridge CEO & Executive Director Andrew Morris’ first-hand knowledge of being homeless has influenced the mission of his organization.

To address the growing need, a 14,000 square foot Raising the Bridge Youth Center is planned for 1717 McKenzie Road in Mesquite. This facility will be a permanent solution for youth ages 12-18 that have many obstacles in their way. Space will be allocated for private offices for staff, Mesquite Police Association, sustainable life skill programs, reading/study/homework area, music studio, car garage, teen drop-in center food & clothing pantry and recreations.  Dedicated rooms will be available for workshops.

Since 2016, Raising the Bridge has been providing mentoring, sustainable life skills and summer sports programs in the city of Mesquite.
