Operation Kindness receives outstanding community organization award

The shelter was also awarded by the City of Carrollton for its excellence in volunteerism.

In honor of the work it does for the community and the betterment of homeless animals, Operation Kindness received the 2022 Outstanding Community Organization Award from the City of Carrollton at its 14th Annual Citizens’ Evening on March 2.

Operation Kindness is a no-kill animal shelter serving North Texas. In addition to pet adoptions, the organization provides extensive medical care for animals, a foster program, a pet food pantry, a surrender prevention program, education to pet parents and volunteer opportunities.

The event hosted by the City of Carrollton recognizes citizen participation, volunteers and contributions to strengthening neighborhood and community partnerships. The award given to Operation Kindness highlights the organization’s decades of experience and advocacy to ensure its vision of a better future for animals is realized.
