North Texas Nonprofits saw decline in contributions among other findings according to industry report

The North Texas Nonprofit Institute has released its 2024 North Texas State of Nonprofits and Philanthropy Report highlighting sector trends seen in 2023. The report looks at nonprofit revenues, assets, expenses, employment, inflation and philanthropic giving trends and covers 16 counties making up the North Texas nonprofit sector.

The report highlights the following key findings:

  • Nonprofit finances are tighter than ever
  • Employment in the sector remains steady, but inflation poses challenges
  • Time to rethink Nonprofit Business Models

“Nonprofits have the opportunity to future proof themselves by investing in data, infrastructure, and developing the leadership skills of both their staff and board members,” says Colton C. Strawser, Ph.D., CFRE, BCC Executive Director of The North Texas Nonprofit Institute.
