North Texas Community Foundation offers conservation grants

Resources will be awarded from the Anita Berry Martin Memorial Fund.

North Texas Community Foundation (NTCF) is now accepting applications for land and wildlife conservation efforts in 11 counties.

Nonprofits and land trusts in Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Young, Jack, Denton, Wise, Hood, Somervell, Bosque and Hill counties may apply.

Grants will be awarded for the preservation of North Texas area ranchland and open-space land utilized for agricultural purposes, wildlife or botanical resources. Programs providing education regarding the importance of protection of the land and natural resources are also eligible. Educational programs will be awarded up to $7,500 per organization. Conservation projects must be directly related to land conservation and will be awarded up to $25,000.

The deadline to apply online is Sept. 23. Notifications will be made Oct. 26 and funds will be distributed in early Nov.
