LVT Rise Celebrates Next Phase for Revitalization

Las Vegas Trail (LVT) Rise, located in Fort Worth, recently held a demolition ceremony commemorating the beginning of the revitalization of 8201 Calmont Avenue, formerly operated by YMCA. Earlier this year, the City of Fort Worth purchased the property to convert the location into the Calmont Park Community Center operated by LVTRise.

The event also recognized the new executive director, Mr. Willie Rankin, who previously served as Relationship Manager for Catholic Charities of Fort Worth.

“I am excited to join this effort as we change the trajectory of the neighborhood and are focused on the quality of livelihoods for our families,” Rankin said.

Mr. Rankin will be focused on nine impact goals including education, safety, quality housing, employment, economic impact, family stability, health and wellness, mental well-being and revitalization.
