The event included a dinner for 250 guests, with each of the 25 tables featuring a meal prepared by a different chef.

This year, Honorary Chef Chair Emeritus Salvatore Gisellu of Urban Family Restaurants passed the knife on to Honorary Chef Tiffany Derry who assembled an army of accomplished chefs including Tre Wilcox, Joanne Bondy, bbbop Seoul Kitchen’s Sandra Bussey, Fitzgerald Dodd, Chad Houser and Truluck’s Manny Vera. They were among the 25 Featured Dinner Chefs who created a global inspired 4-course dinner that was prepared table-side and paired with over 40 wines representing 8 regions donated by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits D&E Fine Wine Group along with Toro de Piedra wines from Chile.

The evening came to a close with a presentation of macarons from Haute Sweets Patisserie Executive Chef Gianni Santin and a decadent chocolate dessert from Dunia Borga from La Duni Baking Studio. Keeping with the night’s theme of “global fare”, KidLinks presented each guest with a perfect bound cookbook of recipes from the chefs to remember the evening by.

KidLinks CEO Diana Crawford shared that the organization has existed for over 35 years, providing healing, hope and happiness to hospitalized and special needs children.

ABOUT KIDLINKS

KidLinks, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is the result of a merger of two successful charities which leveraged the resources and talent of Hugworks with the business and financial acumen of The KidLinks Foundation. For decades, KidLinks has provided healing experiences for the special needs of children through performing arts and media, funded therapeutic music initiatives, university-level Music Therapy training and free/low cost treatment programs for children in need.  Today, through Hugworks Children’s Network (HCN), KidLinks is changing the face of therapeutic music entertainment for patients and families in hospitals across North Texas and beyond. Funds raised go directly to the creation of content that can improve the daily experiences of hospitalized and special needs children when they need it most as well as provide educational resources for the adults who care for them.
