D Magazine reports that Hunger Busters, located in Dallas, is serving meals to 11 Dallas Independent School District (DISD) schools on a weekly basis.
Volunteers assemble sandwiches, a piece of fruit and a package of cookies to prepare 978 meals for students in low-income areas of West Dallas.
Hunger Busters provided more than 350,000 meals to 11 DISD schools and six after-school programs in 2017.
