Honor Courage Commitment starts new tech program for veterans

This story originally appeared on NBC5

Farmers Branch-based Honor Courage Commitment recently announced a new program that offers free cloud career training for local veterans.

The organization’s website states about the program: “Through the Veteran Cloud Career Training Program, we strive to change veterans’ lives through high-quality online cloud training that will help them learn new skills, get certified and advance their careers. By learning in-demand cloud skills, they will be positioned for success in a thriving technology career.”

Spokeswoman Kimber Westphal told NBC5 “these training programs are expensive, which can inhibit many folks from taking that next step and advancing his/her career with the proper training. But with these free trainings, veterans will have the opportunity to snag that promotion and set themselves up for greater success.”

Linux Academy is partnering with Honor Courage Commitment for the program.
