Goodwill Dallas increases capacity in Denton

Profits will support the organization’s workforce development programs.

Goodwill Industries of Dallas has expanded its ability to accept donations and its sales square-footage in Denton with the opening of a new location last month.

At 29,000 square feet of space, the new facility is double the size of its previous location. The new site, at 2231 S. Loop 288, is the organization’s largest. To process donations on-site rather than shipping them to a Dallas location, ten employees have been added to staff the store.

The store’s grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and giveaways.

Goodwill Industries of Dallas helps people build skills, find jobs, and grow their careers through a donated goods business, workforce development services and other social enterprise models. The agency operates 18 retail stores in North Texas with proceeds benefiting Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, Rains and Rockwall counties.
