General operating grants available from Centene Charitable Foundation

Written by Mindia Whittier

The organization makes grants in communities where its team members live and work.

Community-based organizations from four sectors can apply for operating grants of up to $500,000 from Centene Charitable Foundation.

Institutions in four focus areas – Health (including social determinants of health), Education, Children and the Arts – that advance initiatives focusing on inclusion and community development can apply.

Centene Charitable Foundation invests in innovative programs and services that embrace all populations regardless of ability, age, race or economic status. A central element of Centene’s business strategy involves its focus on holistic wellness. That principle has shaped its approach to community investments, with support targeted toward initiatives that bring the arts, education, and health to every population regardless of barriers that may exist.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and may take up to 6 months to review. More details and an application are available online.
