Community grants for various amounts are currently available to nonprofits that seek to meet basic needs (food, clothing and shelter) or provide safety from domestic violence. Grants can also be used to help at-risk youth (pre-K to grade 12) access opportunities outside of school, or to provide workforce readiness training for youth ages 16 to 24.
Letters of inquiry are being accepted by TJ Maxx Foundation on a rolling basis. Eligible nonprofits must provide services within 15 miles of a TJX store, distribution center or office and not have received funding from the Foundation in the past 12 months.
Applicants are also required to have a public nondiscrimination policy that states the organization does not, by policy or practice, discriminate against a person or group on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, gender identity and expression, marital or military status.
