The Fort Worth Public Library Foundation’s board of directors has announced the hiring of Andrea Ash as the new president and CEO. Ms. Ash formerly served as the vice president of financial development at the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth.

“I am honored to be joining such a passionate and dynamic team where I can combine my expertise with my passion of life-long learning for the purpose of serving the Fort Worth community,” Ash said in a press release.

A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Ash also has a master’s degree in public administration from DePaul University in Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

“On behalf of the board, we are thrilled to welcome Andrea to the Foundation”, said Jennifer Henderson, chairman of the board. “Both the Foundation and the Fort Worth Library will flourish with her ability to take on new and diverse approaches to building awareness and funding to our establishments.”
