The City of Fort Worth reports the Fort Worth Opera is the first opera company in the United States to create a more inclusive environment for individuals with autism, Down syndrome and sensory disorders.
To reduce stress or anxiety, some elements of the production of Three Pigs Remix have been modified to create a more accessible environment. The house lights do not come up and down, doors remain open and the sound levels are adjusted. Children can leave the space as needed and making noise or eating snacks is welcome.
These relaxed, sensory-friendly performances continue this fall.
