Former UTA President Wendell Nedderman Passes Away

The Fort Worth Business Press reports former University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) president Wendell Nedderman has died at the age of 97.

Dr. Nedderman served as UTA’s president from 1972 – 1992. Previously he had served as founding dean of the College of Engineering and later vice president for academic affairs.

During his tenure, UTA’s enrollment grew from less than 14,000 students to over 25,000 and also included 24 new buildings and over 60 new programs.
