  • Who is eligible: Nonprofit with experience in community food work, job training and business development activities for food-related activities, or efforts to reduce food and nutrition insecurity. Applicants must collaborate with one or more local partner organizations.

SUMMARY: This RFP provides funding to support applicants in achieving long-term solutions to problems across all levels of the food system from farmer to consumer.

Up to $3.5M for Informal STEM Education

  • FUNDER: National Science Foundation
  • AWARD AMOUNT: $150K-$3.5M
  • Anticipated # of awards: 77
  • DEADLINE TO APPLY: January 8, 2025
  • Who is eligible: Nonprofits, for-profits, state and local governments, institutes of higher education, and tribal governments
  • Match required? No

SUMMARY: This RFP funds projects that contribute to research and practice that further illuminates informal STEM learning’s role in engagement, broadening participation, and belonging in STEM; personal and educational success in STEM; advancing public engagement in scientific discovery; fostering interest in STEM careers; creating and enhancing the theoretical and empirical foundations for effective informal STEM learning; improving community vibrancy; and/or enhancing science communication and the public’s engagement in and understanding of STEM and STEM processes.
