Support for small museums

  • FUNDER: Institute of Museum and Library Services
  • AWARD AMOUNT: Up to $75,000

  • DEADLINE TO APPLY: November 15, 2024
  • Who is eligible: A museum that uses a professional staff, is organized on a permanent basis, uses tangible objects and cares for collections, and exhibits objects to the general public on a regular basis through facilities that it owns or operates.
  • Match required? No

SUMMARY: This RFP supports small museums in project-based efforts to serve the public through exhibitions, educational/interpretive programs, digital learning resources, policy development, and institutional planning, technology enhancements, professional development, community outreach, audience development, and/or collections management, curation, care, and conservation.

SUMMARY: This RFP supports creating a national digital resource of historically significant newspapers published between 1690 and 1963.
