Olive Missionary Baptist Church\nFort Worth\, TX – Community Uplift\, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through education and outreach\, is excited to announce the launch of its new literacy initiative\, “Community Corners.” This program will see the erection of mini libraries throughout South Fort Worth\, each dedicated to a beloved children’s book. The first “Community Corner\,” dedicated to Dr. Seuss’ timeless classic\, The Lorax\, will be unveiled on September 14th\, 2024\, at 9:00 AM at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church\, located at 2951 Evans Ave.\, Fort Worth\, TX 76104.\nIn collaboration with the Black Firemen’s Association and The Book Angel Non-Profit\, Community Uplift is committed to fostering a love for reading and providing accessible educational resources to underserved neighborhoods. The “Community Corners” initiative aims to inspire young readers by creating vibrant\, book-themed mini libraries that serve as both educational hubs and community gathering spaces.\nThe unveiling event will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony\, remarks from local leaders and partners\, and a reading of The Lorax by a special guest.
