The Henry B. Tippie Nation Aviation Education Center (NAEC) Announces Women’s History Month Exhibits and the arrival of Wonder Woman’s Invisible Jet.
Dallas, Texas – The Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center is proud to announce we are adding an exhibit dedicated to five different impactful women in aviation in honor of Women’s History Month. Inside the Brigadier General Charles McGee and Don Hinz Theater, we will be showing a short film on the half hour that highlights the struggles and determination of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP). The WASP were a group of women pilots whose skills and knowledge substantially contributed to the Allied efforts during World War II. Along with the film, there is an exhibit dedicated to the WASP, and a showcase of 5 different women in aviation who helped pave the way for women of all colors. Displays are available to the public and for school tours beginning on the first day of March and continuing throughout Women’s History Month.
The NAEC, located in southern Dallas, will also be displaying Wonder Woman’s invisible Jet in front of our museum. We are sharing the story of Wonder Woman during World War II. Visitors will learn how she came to help America and contribute to our efforts to win the war.
Highlighting remarkable successes of these women who paved the way towards equality serves as an inspiration to us all. As we continue to celebrate the perseverance of these women, it helps propel us forward in our mission to Honor the Past, Empower the Future.
“We must help others get started down the path of achieving their dreams by simply giving a ride in an airplane! It’s a small gesture but makes a huge impact on the lives of many.” – Jacquie Warda.
