Moving From Doubt to Confidence: A Meditation Retreat
Join us for one of our highly popular nature center day retreats! Get out of the city, slow down, and enjoy a uniquely meaningful shift in perspective. Learn how to rely upon practical wisdom and meditation to increase your confidence, and to align your daily activities with your spiritual life goals. With so many challenges and disturbances in life, wouldn’t it be great to have a sense of strength? The great Buddhist meditator Shantideva said: I should maintain self-confidence in three things: My Dharma practice, my Dharma activities, and overcoming my own delusions. For thousands of years Buddhist meditators have practiced in this way. By learning these methods and applying effort, we can overcome our own inner and outer obstacles, too. The day’s schedule is structured so that you can relax and peacefully enjoy nature between meditations.

9:30am – 10:45am – Teaching and Meditation Session 1
10:45am – 11:30am – Break
11:30am – 12:45pm – Teaching and Meditation Session 2
12:45pm – 2:30pm – Lunch (lunch is on your own)
2:30pm – 4:00pm – Teaching and Meditation Session 3
