Live Music at The Levitt – Memorial Day Weekend

May 28, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - May 30, 2021 @ 10:00 pm

Free

Head to the Levitt Pavilion in downtown Arlington for free music under the stars! Coolers welcome (but leave the glass at home), lawn chairs encouraged, concessions available. Coming your way this Memorial Day weekend:

FRIDAY 5/28:

Friday Opening Act: Carlos Ramos

Versatile Fort Worth-by-way-of-Costa Rica musician Carlos Ramos has played everything from reggae in the bars of San Jose to bossa nova at world-famous resorts, offering an out-of-the-ordinary repertoire that’s wide enough to delight audience members of all tastes.

Friday Headliner: Tejas Brothers

“Tex-Mex meets honky tonk” is what happens whenever the Tejas Brothers, also known as one of the best live acts in the Lone Star State, come together to create their infectious brand of music. Said one reviewer of the quartet’s recently-released album “Live and Loose”: “If this music doesn’t put a wiggle in your walk, you better get your hearing tested.”

SATURDAY 5/29:

Saturday Opening Act: Kirk Thurmond

Dallas’s own Kirk Thurmond is a singer-songwriter with a distinctive, authentic sound spanning a rainbow of genres, including soul, pop, and R&B.

Saturday Headliner: The Drifters

“Under the boardwalk, down by the sea, yeah…” Get ready to croon and swoon, North Texas—none other than rock & roll royalty will take the stage at the Levitt on Saturday night, when The Drifters roll into town with their iconic sound and nostalgia-packed play list. Early arrival is highly recommended.

SUNDAY 5/30:

Sunday Opening Act: Brad Russell Band

What happens when you combine classic country with honky-tonk, then blend it with a heavy dose of southern rock and blues? You get “ronky-tonk”, otherwise known as the unique sound of the Texas-based Brad Russell Band.

Sunday Headliner: William Beckman

South Texas-grown musician William Beckman has been writing and singing songs from an early age, creating music that beautifully combines traditional country, Americana, and Latin influences reflective of Beckman’s small-town heritage.

Opening acts go on 7 pm, headliners begin at 8 pm. For parking tips, weather updates, artist bios and more, visit the Levitt website or follow the Levitt on social media.
